BLOYD FAMILY REUNION??? When my husband and I visited Hancock County five or six years ago, we were told that the BLOYD family there holds a family reunion in July. I have since come into contact with a number of BLOYD family researchers, and have told them about the reunion. Will someone please send me the date and location of the next BLOYD family reunion and a contact person's address? You just might get some distant cousins dropping in!

Edward JENKINS b. abt 1805 in Wales, and Hannah BARBER b. abt 1810 in Worcestershire, England, came to Nauvoo in the late 1830's via New Orleans and the Mississippi River. They sent for their son, Charles, in 1843, when he was twelve. He "stayed through the winter", and then took off on his own. Nothing is known of him until he appears in Nebraska in 1856. Did Edward and Hannah have other children? If you are researching this family, please contact me.

Glines, John and Maria. I am not sure when they came to Nauvoo but Maria died on a farm near Nauvoo in 1844 and John died there in 1850. They were Mormons and their son Eric went on to Salt Lake. He probably lived in Nauvoo for a while. Eric had some cousins that may also have lived there for awhile. John is my great great grandfather.

VANCE / TANKSLEY/BOYED/RENO Benjamin Franklin VANCE married Catherine TANKSLEY on 02 Jan 1850 in Carthage, Hancock Co, Illinois. They then farmed in Schuyler Co, Illinois, near Augusta. William and Elizabeth (BOYED) VANCE ( he was the son of James and Margaret (RENO) VANCE) lived at some point in Hancock Co, Illinois. They are buried in the VANCE Cemetery at Industry, McDonough Co, Illinois. Some of James and Margaret VANCE's children, were early members of the Mormon Group at Nauvoo, Illinois. As their are no LDS Records concerning William and Elizabeth (BOYED) VANCE, I am in need of the names of their children and spouses. If you can help me obtain this information, I will be "very grateful"!
