I am looking for information on the family of James and Charlotte Muse who moved from Craven Co, NC to Straunton, Illinois sometime between 1860 and 1876. I have old letters from Charlotte to James in late 1876 before her death in March 1877. Upon her death, James was informed that she was buried in the Spangler graveyard. I would like to know if they are in the 1870 Hancock County Census, if it's possible she has a gravestone in the cemetery, and any other information about Straunton in this time period.

Looking for descendents of Josiah Raymond and Maggie Richardson Kelly. Josiah was a physician in Bowen from around 1874 until 1880, then relocated to Augusta for nine years. He then moved to Quincy. Josiah would be my great great uncle, and I'm hoping at least one of his descendents will be able to shed some light on Josiah's grandparents from NJ. Thanks in advance.

Anyone researching or connected to the family of Capt. Thomas Craig Miller who died in 1905 in Carthage, Illinois? He was married to Martha Mary Mcculloch and she died in Carthage in 1906. Their son, James Oliver Miller married Josephine Emily Spangler on Dec 26, 1872 in Carthage, Illinois. The Spangler family was well know in Carthage. Samuel Spangler died there in 1875 and his son, William Miller Spangler died there in 1906.Capt. Miller was in the Civil War and was in charge of the guard that protected Lincoln's body in Springfield.I think he may have had a brother in the area and would like to connect with someone who would like to exchange info. When the Grandmother Spangler died it was written in the newspaper that relatives were staying with relative B.F.Miller.However, William Miller Spangler has the middle name of Miller so it could come from either family. I wish to find out who this B.F.Miller is if possible. Any help appreciated!! Pegham@aol.com

I am looking for any trace of Joseph Thomas LELLMAN, b. 1862 (approx), Mary C. LELLMAN, b. 1864 (approx) or Catherine LELLMAN, b, 1866 (approx), all allegedly in McDonough County. Their parents, Peter LELLMAN and Amanda POPE, were married in Hancock Co., but verbal family history says the children were born in McDonough.
