A. D. Crouch was born in Jefferson county, New York, Dec. 22, 1819, and is a son of
Ebenezer and Sarah Crouch, both natives of Vermont. Mr. Crouch came to this State in 1835 and settled in Adams county, where he
staid with his mother and brothers until 1852, when he came to this county, where he has since resided engaged in farming and stock
raising. In 1845 he married Elizabeth Hughes, of Adams county. They have had 4 children, of whom only 2 are living, Francis C. and
Flora E. (now Mrs. Weisenbourger). Mr. Crouch owns a farm of 160 acres in sec. 3.
