Benjamin B. Crain, dry-goods merchant and clothier, is a son of William and Harriet
(Tongue) Crain, who came to this county in 1834. He was born in Schuyler county, this State, in 1851, and has been in business in
Augusta since 1878, where he commands a large trade. He was married June 1, 1877, to Nettie A. Catlin, a native of this county, and
they have one child, Lydia R., born June 18, 1878.
